2017 Run Summary

In 2017, Piercetown Firefighters responded to 227 calls for assistance in the community. The busiest month for PFD was September, which coincides with the timeframe that the Upstate was impacted by the remnants of Hurricane Irma. Due to the nearly 16 miles of interstate coverage as well as a handful of heavily traveled roads, PFD responded to 82 motor vehicle accidents.

Other notable statistics from our 2017 call volume are: 53 fires, 19 hazmat calls, 30 service calls, and 24 false alarms.

PFD would like to thank our mutual-aid departments, West Pelzer (Station 6), Walker-McElmoyle (Station 16), Three and Twenty (Station 19), Hopewell (Station 20), and Wren (Station 24) for all of the hard work and assistance this year.

While we are always available and ready to serve the community, we hope to see less of everyone in 2018!
